• CtestXP software - Certification for Xrite Spectrophotometers

    • First-time install
      • Requirements:
        • Licence fees and requirements - Download
        • Calibrated BCRA Standards - Kentwood Standards Lab
        • Note: Calibration Date must be within 12 months
      • CtestXP Users Manual 4th edition (12 meg file) Download
      • Standards Cleaning Procedure Download
      • Click on Download "Full Install" below and select RUN - accept all install defaults
      • After installation Run CtestXP and follow instruction to receive KEY, ID, CtestXP Password and Standards Password
      • After receiving KEY, ID and passwords, connect to the internet and run CtestXP
      • CtestXP will ask you for your Standards Serial Number and password - e.g. STD123 & D1234
      • CtestXP will contact the Xrite Server and download the master database - e.g. STD123.DB
      • Click on help to see operation instructions
    • Update with new version
      • The new version of CtestXP will be installed to the root directory of your computer C:\CTESTXP21. It is possible to install in other locations but Windows 10 may put data in a hidden folder that is not easily accessed
      • Click on "Download Full Install" below and select RUN - accept all install defaults and it will install in C:\CTESTXP21 folder
      • Windows 7 & 8 may require you to RUN the application after downloading
      • Norton Virus Scanner and other virus scanners may require to RUN any way. Windows Defender will block the install but clicking on more info will let you RUN anyway
      • Install Instructions
      • After installation completes, Run CtestXP - initializing
      • Enter the Serial number of your standards e.g.STDxxx or STFxxx
      • KEY Validate - Follow the instructions in the window to receive KEY, User ID and Password
      • After the KEY, User ID and Password and Standards Password are returned by Email, Enter the KEY
      • Enter the User ID and Password
      • Connection to the internet is required to continue
      • The database will be backed up (if required) and downloaded from the XRITE server
      • The contents of your database will be shown
    • New Features
      • Update/Restore Database - Menu function that will backup the current database and download the Master database. This function can be used to download multiple databases if you have multiple sets of standards e.g. STDxxx, STDxyz, STFxxx
      • Auto Save - When connected to the internet, records will be automatically be uploaded to the server. This is to conform with ISO requirements to archive test data.
